Nordic Oil faced the uphill task of growing in a tightly regulated industry where classic marketing channels were off-limits. Entering new markets required adaptability, while competition for CBD-related keywords was already fierce. The brand needed a scalable, sustainable growth engine to establish authority across multiple geographies.
I partnered closely with the CMO and founder to design and execute strategies that bypassed conventional limitations. We prioritized SEO as the backbone of growth, securing multiple SERP placements for some of the world’s most competitive CBD terms during 2018–2019. Over 30,000 intent-driven users per month found Nordic Oil organically, strengthening brand authority.
At the same time, I contributed to international expansion efforts—supporting launches in over 12 European markets, the U.S., and early-stage entry into Japan. This included hiring and training local country managers, while building the international department internally to ensure long-term scalability. Localization strategies were tailored to each region, balancing technical performance with cultural nuance.
Within less than a year, Nordic Oil grew from a small startup team to a thriving international company of over 100 people. The brand expanded across Europe and beyond, built strong organic visibility, and attracted more than 30,000 new monthly users, cementing its position as a pioneer in the global CBD wellness industry.
